Francisco Carvalho and the Promise of a New Cape Verde

Following the PAICV’s electoral victory, all eyes turned to Francisco Carvalho.

The former Mayor of Praia campaigned on a platform centered around social protection, institutional reform, job creation, and reducing inequality.

His vision includes:

After the election results were confirmed, President José Maria Neves moved toward appointing Carvalho as Prime Minister, marking the beginning of a new political era.
