Show Me Your Circle and I'll Show You Your Future
There is an old saying:
"If you spend enough time in a barber shop, eventually you'll get a haircut."
Human beings naturally become like the people they spend the most time with.
We adopt their habits.
Their attitudes.
Their expectations.
Their standards.

This doesn't mean abandoning friends or family. Loyalty is one of the strongest values in Cape Verdean culture.
However, loyalty should never require us to stop growing.
The people who encourage education, entrepreneurship, health, and personal development often help us see opportunities we would otherwise miss.
Likewise, people who constantly criticize, complain, and discourage ambition can quietly limit our potential.
Think about every major accomplishment in your life.
There was probably someone who believed in you before you fully believed in yourself.
A parent.
A teacher.
A coach.
A mentor.

Success is rarely a solo journey.
If you want to improve your future, spend more time with people who challenge you to become better.
Not people who make you feel comfortable staying the same.
Growth often begins when our environment changes.
Next we'll talk about the one thing that separates dreams from results: discipline.
